At the end of January, Dr. Johannes Bohnen participated in the first conference on corporate political responsibility in Germany. The event was organised by the Catholic Academy Berlin, the Protestant Academy in Berlin, and the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel. To kick off the two-day event, Bohnen presented the CPR concept in a short talk; a lively debate followed. Companies should become more political. This claim left no one cold. To our great delight, the term is increasingly being used, for example by Prof. Dr. Ludger Heidbrink of the University of Kiel and the World Economic Institute based there.
CPR is also gaining momentum abroad. In the USA, for example, the Erb Institute at Michigan State University has set up its own CPR task force. We are pleased to be working with its director, Elizabeth Doty. In Denmark, the Copenhagen Business School has offered a CPR course for the first time this semester. And on May 25th, Bohnen will deliver a CPR Key Note at the Public Affairs Forum 2023 in Rome.
